You might have seen this already, but it’s a perfect summation of my thoughts on religion. What brought it to mind was that a girl at work asked me today if I go to church. I said no, and was going to leave it at that, as I personally think a person’s religious beliefs — or lack thereof — is not only boring, but also kind of tacky to discuss in public. Then she asked me if I believed in god. Again, a negative. She asked me if I was an atheist. I told her yes, I’m a heathen. Her response? “You know what… I believe you. I really do.” O-kaaayy. Yet another nut job I’m going to have to avoid.
