I was trying to go at least a week without linking to Neale, but Oh My God!

And now I’m fabulous. (Actually, I’m “of,” but y’know..) I honestly stopped thinking of this as “new” after a week, but I suppose to Jerwin we’re all whippersnappers. Bonus: following to find what other blogs Jerwin has declared faboo, I find two sites that link to here that I had no inkling of! It’s a good thing there’s a picture of an 11-year-old me in a spider costume hanging in the hall outside my room, or I might let my ego get out of check.

Ever since the Great Blogger Upgrade, all but the latest month’s archives have been disappearing from the index, consistently, every three days or so. And the “solution” suggested here got a little tiresome to repeat over and over. I’ve finally broken down and put the archives directly in the template, which means I’ll have to add the new ones manually every month. At least until the Prya folks figure out how to fix this problem permanently, which of course they will. (All hail Pyra, giver of life.)

I also took the opportunity to rejigger the navigation again, in the hopes that more people will realize that the ‘hoblog isn’t all that’s here. It’s a surprisingly difficult concept to communicate.

I almost forgot to wish a happy birthday to my favorite sexy bitch. That just wouldn’t do, now would it?

This is why, when you’ve been offline all day, you always read slashdot first. I have been unfaithful, great Taco. Forgive me.

ColdHardTruth: you thought AmIHotOrNot was addictive. You were oh so very wrong. Not only can you rate others and be rated, you can input demographic info and see the demographic breakdown of those who rate you. So far all of my reviewers like Coke over Pepsi, and Sagittarians seem to be more liberal with high votes. It’s statistics porn, pure and simple.

Google, remarkably, almost gets it dead-on. Salon and Napster really should be higher on the list, though.

Hark, foe!

Hey, I scooped Joe! That’s… well, it’s kind of depressing, actually.

I initially dismissed it as another “working tech support sucks” story, but I finally got around to reading this article. I was wrong. It is the “working tech support sucks” story. However, it diverts from my personal experience on one, and only one, point: there was no escalation. If you asked for a supervisor, you got just that. A person who signs time sheets, who may or may not know a computer from a hole in the ground. Other than that, that’s four months of my life, right there.

My discovery has become an entry in The Dark Ages. My life is now complete.

I caught the new Madonna video for the first time today. And then I saw it six more times. (I guess it helps to actually *turn on* the TV.) Reaction? Umm.. the cowboy in the red shirt is pretty hot. What is with her videos lately? Is a day of location shooting going to kill her?

Well, I am now a cutey-boy. Pardon me while my head swells to enormous proportions.

New picture in the Sims section. (at the bottom.) To continue the tradition, its price, depreciation, and room ratings are completely unrealistic. :)
