Authentication isn't a problem if you use the methods flickr builds in to every page they serve, and it's long time I changed this script to do that. Most of my others already work that way, I guess I just never got around to fixing this one. Anyway, 'tis done. Now stop giving me interesting problems, I have to go to my paying job now. :)

Sorry for so many posts in one night, but it looks like the Flickr API *does* return the number of views & through quite a few different methods. See the discussion here:

http://www.flickr.com/groups/api/discuss/72157603902709990/

Several don't require authentication, either. :)

Thanks Jason! :) I wasn't sure if the # of views was available via the API, but this is wonderful, all the same. There are a couple of groups I help admin that have minimum view/favorite requirements and cleaning the pools just became MUCH easier. I'm going to link to your version in this flickr hacks thread:

The number of views is not exposed via the flickr API, unfortunately, but the number of faves is doable. So, here ya go.

I can see that you haven't spent much time with these since you published them, however, I wanted to know if you could make a version of the Thumbnails Enhancer that shows # of view and favorites instead of comments & notes. Thanks!

It should still work, unless I'm totally insane… What exacty is no longer working for you? Have you tried uninstalling the script and reinstalling it from the original source location? That seems to always be everyone's first advice in situations like this.

I would love to see the Flickr Photo Page Enhancer updated for the new Flickr redesign: Gamma. It was one of my favorite scripts...now it won't work!
